Jane Jacket

Got inspired after looking at some lovely crochet designs by The Moule Hole on Instagram. Besides the yellow baby blanket it’s been a long time since I did any crocheting. Decided to start up a Jane Jacket using stash yarn. At first I tried the multicolored combo up top, but the beautiful colors sort of disappeared in the mohair. Fortunately I had the perfect shade of purple Mini Maiden from Handmaiden, to match the Onion Wool + Nettles, and Hobbii Diablo.

Sunshine blanket

Crochet baby blanket started for my baby bump! Made one in mint green for my boy three years ago now (looks like I never posted about it finished?). It’s one of the most used baby items I made myself, so of course I’ll be making another one now! 🙂 This time using sunshine yellow Tilda from Svarta Fåret, colorway 33.

Hurra!

Yay! Very happy with this finished scrap cardigan! Looks like size 3-6 months or thereabout. I used brown Malabrigo Worsted in colorway Rich Chocolate (scrap from Glöd cardigan) together with Clever from Nerd Girl Yarns, colorway DJ wretched cat (one of my biggest yarn favorites, scrap from Udda poncho).

Pattern is Everyday Baby by Lisa Clarke. Mods I’ve made is the rolling neckline, garter front edge, and adding two sts in the yoke to make the rib symmetrical. I used this free pattern for the crochet flower.

I indulged and purchased three skeins of Allegria Grande to make myself a glorious shawl – the chilly autumn has arrived! Took me a few tries to find the right pattern though. First I tried the Collina Cowl, but after knitting up the first skein I wasn’t in love. After that I did a simple rib in the round, but didn’t feel that either. Finally I tried the crochet Fortune’s shawlette, and it really makes the gorgeous yarn justice! A nice and simple pattern repeat with a lovely result!
