Jag stickade klart min 4e (!) Twiggy, i god tid för vintern. Den första tänkt till pojken blev alldeles för stor – den sparar jag till nästa år.

Blandade restgarner i grönt, tillsammans med Drops Air i både vitt och grått. Blev inte så dumt, tycker jag!

I finished my 4th (!) Twiggy, in good time for winter. The first one intended for my boy turned out way too big – I’m saving that for next year.

Eftersom den Twiggy jag hade tänkt till pojken i höst och vinter blev minst ett år för stor, var jag såklart tvungen att lägga upp för en ny. En fjärde! Jag lovar, det är den sista för den här gången. Till denna har jag jagat fram restgarner i grönt från min stash, och håller dem tillsammans med Drops Air.

Since the Twiggy I intended my boy to use this autumn and winter ended up a year or so too big, I of course had to make another one. The 4rth one! I promise, this is the last one for now. This time digging out scraps of green from my stash, held together with Drops Air.

Tripp, trapp, trull, Twiggy!! En för min pojk, en för bebis i magen, och en överraskningströja till en kollega, som beundrade de första två! Stor stashrensning på jakt efter blått och grönt, återigen stickat tillsammans med Drops Air (denna gång färger 10 och 11). Rester använda är mestadels Malabrigo Worsted, men också Tosh Vintage och Malabrigo Rios.

One, two, three Twiggy! One for by boy, one for my baby bump, and another surprise one for a colleague, who admired the first ones. Big stash dive for scraps of blues and greens, again held together with Drops Air (this time colors 10 and 11). Scraps used are mostly Malabrigo Worsted, but also Tosh Vintage and Malabrigo Rios.

En andra Twiggy, en restgarnsvariant för bebis i magen! Modifierat orginalmönster för att få storlek 3-6 månader, huvudsakligen ändrat maskantalet i början. Anteckningar här.

2nd Twiggy, an ombre scrap version for my baby bump! Mods made to original pattern to get a size 3-6 months, mainly changing the CO st count. Notes here.

Första Twiggy av stickorna!

Har använd Drops Air i blågrått (färg 10) tillsammans med flerfärgad Leonore från Falkgarn (färg 401), båda långliggare i mitt garnskåp.

Mönstret kommer i endast en storlek, så jag har gjort en hel del ändringar på mina versioner. Satsade på storlek 3 år, men det blev mer 4-5 år och alldeles för stor för pojken i höst, hah! Får ta foton för skojs skull.

First Twiggy off the needles!

Using Drops Air in misty gray (colorway 10) together with a multicolored Leonore from Falkgarn (color 401), both long timers in my stash.

The pattern comes in one size only, so I’ve made lots of mods on my versions. Was going for a 3y, but this is more 4-5y and way too big for my boy right now, hah! I’ll have to take photos just for fun.

Sleeves too narrow, body too wide, and fronts not wide enough to overlap properly.

Så svårt att lägga undan de tjocka stickorna efter att ha stickad klart min Stjernesluddgenser – ska se till att ta lite foton på den snarast.

Just nu har jag totalt fastnat på att kombinera min stash med Drops Air (fluffig “blåst” alpacka) med diverse annan stash och rester. Jag blev förtjust i den enkla modellen hos gratismönstret Twiggy, så jag stickar den ovan till min pojk (vad vi kallar för “äventyrströja”, till hösten), och en mindre variant till bebis i magen. Vecka 27 nu!

So difficult to put away the larger needles after finishing my Stjernesluddgenser – need to get some photos of that one soon.

Right now I’m going a bit crazy about combining my stash of Drops Air (worsted/aran weight “blown” alpaca) with other skeins or scraps. I liked the simple model of the free pattern Twiggy, so I’m doing the one above for my boy (what we call an “adventure sweater”, for autumn), and another, smaller one for my growing baby bump. Week 27 now!
