I have a question about the Yikes Stripes pattern. I don’t understand how rows 2 and 4 in the Star Stitch Pattern. The instructions say P1, *(p3tog, yo, p3tog) in the same 3 stitches, p1. Repeat until the end. I don’t understand what you mean by “in the same 3 stitches”. It seems as though we’re decreasing a lot this row and yet there aren’t any instructions to increase later.
Can you help?
Thanks!
Cynthia
Hello Cynthia!
You won’t be decreasing at all this row, actually!
To do “(p3tog, yo, p3tog) in the same 3 stitches”, you p3tog, don’t slip them off the needle, yo, then purl the same 3 sts together again – hence, in the same 3 stitches. So, no decrease is being made.
I hope this helps, and that you’re enjoying the pattern!
